Your course received the ultimate compliment. On my way home to Comox from your course I detoured through Parksville to stop at my office. I was driving through Parksville on the 4 lanes at 50 kph when suddenly, a car shoots backwards out of the entrance to the A+W and stops in my lane only 30 feet in front of me! The car in the left lane beside me hammers the brakes - I emerg stop and deak through the opening between the bumper of ‘backwards buddy’ and the car stopped in the left lane beside me...no problem! I did a slow race to the next red light and did not even touch my foot down, same to the next light. I look behind me going through the lights - cop on a bike closing fast! He swoops into my lane and lights me up with his emerg lights - $*@#!!!!
I stop and he stops behind me with the flashers going. He comes up and says, “Are you a bike member or ex-bike member?” “No”, I reply, I just took an advanced rider course. Cop says, “Man, you got your moneys worth buddy! Most bike riders would have either t-boned that old guy or gone down trying to stop!! Good throttle brake control too! Just wanted to compliment you on your skills, see ya!”
So there you are! It doesn't get any better that...
Thanks Ryan and Paul

Hi Ryan and Paul,
First of all that was an excellent course this past weekend! I learned many ,many techniques from you two and this is why I'm contacting you.
This morning before work, I thought it would be a great idea to practice some of the skills that were taught this past weekend up at Broadmead Mall parking lot.
I did some circles, figure 8"s and practiced counter balancing. Realizing that I have to go to work, I left the mall approaching the green light at the Pat Bay Hwy for the merge lane north when all the skills I learned came into play in an instant!
There was this lady wanting to turn left onto the Hwy in a gold Camry, talking on her cell phone, she pulled out 20 feet in front of me!!! I performed the "brake & escape" and was just able to get around the rear of her vehicle, then did a slow race to the other side of the bridge in total control. She of course was still on her cell phone merging in traffic on the hwy.
Thank you for the offering of this fantastic motorcycle course!
Oh ya....can I get some of those cones for practicing?
Paul
